1 About Us
This website and all training services are provided by Soap School Ltd ("we", "our", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 08415103). Registered office for postal service only is 20 The Grove, Huddersfield, HD21BL. 

Our principal place of business and where the training courses are delivered is: 1 York Avenue, Fartown, Huddersfield HD2 2QR, United Kingdom.

We trade under the name Soap School.

2 Definitions
Services – any online course, in‑person workshop, consultancy, bespoke training, or related support we supply.

Digital Content – course videos, downloads, workbooks and other electronic materials supplied online.

Consumer – an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business or profession.

Business Customer – any customer acting wholly or mainly for business purposes.

Working Day – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England.

3 Scope & Acceptance
By placing an order or accessing the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (each linked in the site footer).
If you do not accept these Terms you must not purchase or use the Services.

4 Ordering Process
Select your chosen Service and complete checkout via Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer.

You will receive an automated email acknowledging your order. A binding contract forms only when we send the order‑confirmation email ("Order Confirmation").

We reserve the right to decline any order. If we do, we will refund any payment received.

5 Prices & Payment
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling and exclude VAT (Soap School Ltd is not currently VAT‑registered).

Payment must be received in full before access is granted, except where a deposit option is expressly offered at checkout.

Deposits are non‑refundable (see §9).

We do not accept cheques.

6 Supply of Digital Content
Digital Content is delivered immediately after Order Confirmation.
Important: By ticking the consent box at checkout you request immediate supply of Digital Content and acknowledge you lose the 14‑day cancellation right provided by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you do not tick this box you will receive access only after the 14‑day period or on written confirmation.

7 Cooling‑off & Cancellation

8 Workshop Refunds & Transfers
More than 10 working days before the scheduled start: refund of fees minus £25 admin fee per workshop day or forfeiture of stated deposit, whichever is greater.

10 working days or fewer: fees are non‑refundable.

You may substitute a participant at no additional cost; please notify us in writing before the course commences.

If we cancel or reschedule, our liability is limited to a full refund of fees paid; we will not cover travel, accommodation or other costs.

9 Deposits
Certain multi‑day courses require a deposit (£150 for 2‑day/Boot Camp, £495 for 5 & 7‑day programmes).
Deposits secure your place and are non‑refundable and non‑transferable unless we cancel the course.

10 Consultancy & Bespoke Training
Cancellation ≥10 working days before the first session: refund minus 10 % administration fee.

Cancellation <10 working days: full fee payable.

Consultancy may include bonus elements (e.g. CPSR safety reports); refunds will be net of any third‑party costs already incurred on your behalf.

11 Tutor Support
All Services include email and community support for the duration specified in the course description (or 12 months if unspecified).
Reasonable telephone support is available Monday–Friday 10:00–16:00 UK time.

12 Intellectual Property
All course materials, videos, handouts, formulas and trademarks are our intellectual property or that of our licensors.
You may not share, resell, record or distribute any part of the materials without our prior written consent.
Access is granted for one individual user licence only.

13 Health & Safety
Courses involve the handling of corrosive alkalis and other chemicals. We provide appropriate safety instructions and PPE (eye, hand and respiratory protection).
You agree to follow all safety directions and accept full responsibility for any injury or damage caused by failure to do so.
Long‑sleeved clothing and closed‑toe shoes are mandatory; long hair must be secured.

14 Regulatory & Compliance Disclaimer
We deliver training in good faith and to the best of our knowledge, but do not guarantee compliance with cosmetic regulations in your jurisdiction. You remain responsible for obtaining Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), product notifications and other legal authorisations before placing products on the market.

15 Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Subject to the foregoing, we are not liable for:

indirect or consequential loss;

loss of profit, business, revenue or anticipated savings;

loss or corruption of data;

any reliance on course outcomes.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fee paid for the relevant Service.
We carry public liability insurance of £5 million.

16 Events Outside Our Control
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to server outages, industrial action, extreme weather or governmental restrictions.

17 Complaints & Alternative Dispute Resolution
Please email complaints to sarah@soapschool.com We aim to respond within 5 Working Days.
If you are an EU consumer you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr.

18 Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law, best practice or our business processes. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a new “Last updated” date.

19 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
